My scientific career began in Communication Studies, Sociology and English Philology at the Westfalian-Wilhelms-University Münster. I received my master’s degree in 2005 with the thesis “Afroism. On the situation of an ethnic minority in Germany” which was published three years later in vdm-Verlag as Print on Demand. This was the beginning of my continuing journey as a writer and scholar with a three-year stopover at the Center for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin (2010-2013).

I’m a founding member of the Black European Academic Network (BEAN) and I would like to invite Blackademics to become part of this unique trans-European platform. BEAN offers space for exchange, networking and support for anyone who wants to share their knowledge and insights with others. We welcome Black scientists as well as doctoral students and master students of all disciplines.
